The OAG is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated attorney to serve as a full-time Assistant Attorney General representing the Montgomery County Child Support Administration (MCCSA). MCCSA is one of the busiest child support jurisdictions in Maryland and plays a critical role in ensuring that children and families receive the financial support they need to thrive. This position is part of a collaborative legal team that includes three Assistant Attorneys General and one Supervising Attorney.
The ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of litigation experience, as well as strong analytical, writing and advocacy skills. Candidates must have a proven ability to work independently, manage client expectations, and develop and implement legal strategies that lead to favorable outcomes. Prior admission to the Maryland Bar is required. Experience in family or civil law and proficiency with the Maryland Electronic Courts (MDEC) system will be helpful but is not required. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
Salary Range: $91,761 to $147,451. Medical and retirement benefits.
