The Howard County Chapter has monthly luncheon programs featuring guest speakers on a variety of topics of interest to members. We provide members with an annual legislative update by members of the Maryland General Assembly. We participate in various service projects to benefit local organizations assisting community members in need of support. We also join with the Howard County Bar Association and the Waring-Mitchell Law Society of Howard County to host a Winter Holiday Party and a Spring Judicial Reception. Our signature event, in collaboration with the Howard County Public School System, is a girls mentoring program bringing attorneys and judges together with high school girls identified as in need of role models to discuss career paths. In June of each year at our Annual Meeting, we present the Connie Sapp Award to an outstanding attorney or judge whose service and dedication has made an impact on the community and the legal profession.
