The Women’s Bar Association of Maryland is a dynamic leadership organization comprised of over 700 members throughout the State. Our membership is diverse in terms of experience, practice areas and types, and background and gender, but with the common goal of advancing and honoring women in the practice of law and the legal system. We empower our members to become leaders within The Women’s Bar Association of Maryland, as well as among bar associations and organizations across Maryland.
Through its County Chapters, Committees, and state and county events, The Women’s Bar Association of Maryland provides many opportunities for member involvement, development, leadership, and networking. The many advantages of membership include our showcase events, local programs of our County Chapters, networking within and between our County Chapters, leadership opportunities through State-level and County Chapter committees, recognition of our members through awards and the various resources of our website.
New Members: Membership Rates
Our membership year runs from July through June of each year, with dues pro-rated to one-half for members joining between January and April. The membership categories include:
- Benefactor (recognition at annual meeting and in newsletter) – $500
- Sustaining (recognition in newsletter) – $250
- Attorney in Private Practice – $100
- Attorney in Government, Public Interest or Retired (includes all Judges and Magistrates)- $70
- Law Student – $25
